As last year, 7 events will be on the program, with a few new ones! The Challenge cyclosportif (renamed Challenge Granfondo in 2019) and launched in 2017 by the Alpes-Maritimes Department has continued to attract new competitors year after year.

In 2023, no fewer than 1,700 riders took to the roads of the Alpes-Maritimes!

The Challenge is made up of seven events in all, visiting the whole Alpes-Maritimes department, with a foray into the Alpes de Haute-Provence. New for 2024, the Mercan'Tour Madone Peille will open the ball next April, before passing through Cannes for the Lazaridès and then the Vençoise in May. June will see the Mercan'Tour Ultra Bonette pass over the Col de la Bonette, followed by the René Vietto Drapoise. In July, another valley will be visited, the Roya, with the Cimes du Mercantour departing from Breil-sur-Roya, in an area that was badly hit by storm Alex. Last but not least, the Alpes Verdon Tour closes the season for the first time!

Wild, unspoilt itineraries in exceptional natural settings to discover the Côte d'Azur from the mountains!
